Payments & Billing

Plans, trials, AI credits, checkout, and how money moves.

Payments & Billing

Everything about your subscription lives on the Subscription screen — treat it as the source of truth for current prices and limits.

Understanding plans and billing

The Subscription screen shows your current plan, active add-ons, AI credit usage, site and store build usage, hosted site usage, available plans, monthly/yearly billing, a currency selector, trial banners, top-up packs, and payment history.

Suite plans — Free, Starter, Pro, and Agency — grant the full platform: website, store, and Design Studio together. Yearly billing gives 12 months for the price of 10. See the current pricing.

Product lanes: Suite, Store only, Design Studio

Some users only want one part of the platform. When published, a toggle at the top of the plans area offers:

  • Suite — the full platform in one subscription.
  • Store only — just the online store.
  • Design Studio — just the design tools, including selling templates on the marketplace on paid tiers.

Standalone plans bill separately from any Suite plan and renew on their own date — you can stay on Free Suite and hold a paid Design Studio plan. Held plans appear under Active add-ons with their renewal date. Like Suite plans, nothing unlocks until payment is verified server-side.

Starting a free trial

When trials are enabled, eligible users can try a paid plan free: open Subscription, find the trial banner, choose the plan, and start. No card is needed; the account returns to Free when the trial ends unless you subscribe; trial credits are tracked separately; subscribing supersedes the trial.

How AI credits work

AI credits power AI features across the app: editing website content, generating sections, pages, and multi-page sites, generating SEO, writing blog posts, and generating Design Studio flyers. The Subscription screen shows credits remaining and the renewal date. Top-up credits add to your balance for the current window.

Buying credit top-ups

  1. Open Subscription and find Need more AI credits.
  2. Choose a top-up pack.
  3. Complete payment in the Paystack tab and return to the app.
  4. Refresh Subscription if the credits don't appear immediately.

How subscription checkout works

Upgrades and top-ups open a Paystack checkout in a new tab. Keep the app open, complete the payment, return to the app, and wait for verification (or refresh the Subscription screen). Cards and mobile money are supported, and international cards work for USD payments.

Store checkout methods

  • Order on WhatsApp — shoppers open a WhatsApp chat to place the order.
  • Automated Paystack checkout — Suitly creates the order, sends the buyer to Paystack, marks paid orders automatically, and decrements tracked stock.
  • Payment link per product — each product can carry its own payment link.

Setting up Paystack checkout for a store

  1. In Store Manager, open the store's Settings.
  2. Set the checkout method to Automated Paystack checkout.
  3. Create or confirm the payout subaccount (your bank or mobile money).
  4. Choose test or live mode, configure fee bearers, and save.
  5. Publish the store.

Live mode requires a live payout account — the app blocks the switch until it's ready.

Test mode vs live mode

Test mode uses Paystack test keys so you can preview checkout safely — orders and payments are practice data. Live mode accepts real payments and creates real orders; use it only when the store is ready. A banner shows when checkout is in test mode.

Platform fees and provider charges

Automated checkout can include Paystack provider fees and platform processing fees. You choose who bears them: the merchant, the customer, or a split. Test your checkout before going live so totals match your expectations.

Payment history

The Subscription screen lists subscription payments, renewals, and AI credit top-ups — so you can always confirm what was paid for and when.
